Don’t worry about it! It’s just yarn. Everyone makes mistakes/throws out projects sometimes. It’s alright to be human.

IKR!! I’m in the process of starting another and am thinking the same . Then I think, WTH, just do it. Maybe my founder will help someone else do something really incredible.

ginger-mancer I’ve frogged my current project 4 times so far. There is no going back, I am now determined to succeed! >:)

tammybobammy agreed! Maybe I should make a post about crochet fails. God knows I’ve made some really ridiculous ones!

I always get so nervous about posting in-process photos.

Like, what if I dont finish it? What if it turns out terrible?

THERE IS PROOF OF MY FAILURE

kaynoxxcrafts thank you! It was actually super easy, and relatively inexpensive to do, so I’m super pumped that it came out so well.

really?? Did you use a tutorial or video? Any chance for a link? 😀

I’ve always wanted to learn how to spin but I have zero patience for a drop spindle.

I honestly think that starting on a drop spindle is super helpful. It gives you a really strong sense of how much tension and twist to apply to the wool you’re using.
I’m a big fan of the tutorials by Jennifer Beamer on YouTube (her channel is called Expertly Dyed). She shows how to use a drop spindle in a really easy to follow way. Plus I believe she has some tutorials on using a wheel as well.
I’ll keep you posted, but I intend to start my own YouTube channel with spinning, knitting, and dyeing tutorials sometime in the near future as well.

I’ve used a drop spindle for small batches, and you’re totally right, there’s definitely a lot to learn about technique. I’ll check Jennifer Beamer out, thanks for the tip!

The thing that attracts me to a spinning wheel is being able to do things much faster.

And I would absolutely love to watch your videos when you make them!
